Small changes. Bigger possibilities.

Our work goes beyond awareness. We work with women, families, communities, service providers and institutions to turn maternal health needs into practical support and lasting change.

Four areas of work

Care, awareness, mother-friendly environments, advocacy.

Care

Supporting women and families through pregnancy and early motherhood.

Awareness

Building knowledge around maternal health, wellbeing and supportive caregiving.

Mother-friendly environments

Making public spaces, services and everyday experiences more supportive for mothers and babies.

Advocacy & systems change

Working with communities, institutions and governments to create lasting change for mothers.

Our work in action

Six programmes, one goal.

Maternal Identification Badge

Pregnancy is not always visible, yet pregnant women may need additional care, priority and understanding in everyday public spaces. Our maternal identification badge helps make pregnancy more visible and encourages a culture where women can ask for and receive appropriate support, particularly in public transport and other shared spaces.

Safe Motherhood Health Camps

We bring maternal health services and information closer to communities through safe motherhood health camps. These camps connect women with maternal health consultations, gynaecological support, fetal Doppler checks, counselling, health education and referral services, helping identify concerns early and guiding women toward appropriate care.

Transport & Public Awareness

A pregnant woman's experience in public transport should not depend on whether someone notices or chooses to help her. We engage drivers, conductors, service providers and the wider public to promote pregnancy-friendly behaviour: offering priority seating, avoiding unnecessary discomfort and responding respectfully to the needs of pregnant women.

Youth & Community Engagement

Building a mother-friendly society starts long before someone becomes a parent. Through school programmes, youth discussions and community activities, we create spaces to talk about maternal health, caregiving, gender norms, pregnancy and the shared responsibility of supporting mothers.

Mother-Friendly Spaces

Small changes in the physical environment make a meaningful difference to mothers. We promote practical, mother-friendly features such as priority seating, breastfeeding corners, diaper-changing facilities, rest spaces and more supportive health facilities and public services, helping mothers navigate everyday life with greater comfort and dignity.

Policy & Systems Change

Individual acts of kindness matter, but lasting change requires supportive systems. We collaborate with local governments, health facilities, institutions, transport stakeholders and communities to move maternal support beyond individual initiatives and toward sustainable policies, services and environments that recognise the needs of mothers.

How we create change

Change begins by listening.

1

Listen

We listen to pregnant women and understand what makes pregnancy difficult in everyday life.

2

Understand

We work with communities, health professionals and institutions to understand the barriers.

3

Act

We create practical responses that can improve women's experiences.

4

Advocate

We take learning from communities into conversations with institutions and local governments.

5

Grow

We build partnerships so good approaches can reach more women and more places.

A mother-friendly Nepal needs all of us.

Support, partner, volunteer or simply speak up. Every action helps make pregnancy a safer, more dignified experience.
